Chevy Truck

Not just any truck will do when there is work to be done. If you want a pickup that will have no trouble towing or hauling whatever you need it to, it’s time for a large Chevy truck.

Chevy Silverado 2500HD

The Chevy Silverado 2500HD comes with a 6.6-liter V8 engine that produces 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

You can also go with a Duramax® diesel 6.6-liter V8 that generates 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. With this engine you will get an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.

Either rear- or all-wheel drive is available. The Chevy Silverado 2500HD has outstanding towing and hauling ability, too. When properly equipped, you’ll be able to tow up to 14,500 pounds and haul up to 3,900 pounds.

The Chevy Silverado 3500HD also comes standard with a 6.6-liter V8 engine that puts out 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, which is mated to a 6- automatic transmission. It too has an available Duramax® diesel 6.6-liter V8 that generates 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque and comes with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.

However, the Chevy Silverado 3500HD takes those towing and hauling numbers to a whole other stratosphere. While the base engine will let you tow up to 17,370 pounds, that bigger one has a tow rating of 36,000 pounds.

No other truck in the class comes close to that. The maximum payload is pretty fantastic too: 4,572 pounds.
